Conference Childcare Services

Availability During SMBE 2026

As initiative and covered by the SMBE society there is childcare services during the SMBE 2026 conference, to secure further diversity in the programme and of attendees.

General policy regarding children during the conference

Children must be always accompanied. The conference is not responsible for supervision outside the official childcare service.

  • Children are welcome in common areas (foyer/exhibition area)
  • Children are welcome in the scientific sessions, but if fully seated, the participants have priority for seating.
  • Children are welcome at the Poster sessions, Welcome reception and the social dinner (additional tickets need to be purchased for the social dinner in case bringing children or any additional persons to the social dinner)

Welcome to Our Daycare Center - PVB Childcare (Pædagogisk Vikarbureau)

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to our daycare center.

In Denmark, we have a long and proud tradition of high-quality childcare built on care, play, learning, and strong relationships. At PVB, our staff members are highly qualified and experienced within early childhood education, and most importantly, they are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment for children.

Below, you will find an overview of our daily routine. All activities are thoughtfully planned and adapted to the children’s ages, group dynamics, and individual needs.

We look forward to getting to know your child, introducing them to elements of Danish culture, and engaging them in creative play and meaningful activities.

Weekly schedule

These are options for childcare service hours – you must register through the link to secure the hours for your child.

  • Monday,  June 29th – 08:30am – 20:00pm
  • Tuesday,  June 30th – 08:30am – 20:00pm
  • Wednesday, July 1st – 08:30am – 18:00pm
  • Thursday, July 2nd – 08:30am – 14:00pm

Daily Schedule

  1. Arrival
    Parents arrive with their children and are welcomed by our staff.
    PVB provides a kindergarten teacher and teaching assistants (recognizable by their blue T-shirts).
    Each child will be checked in and given a name tag to wear on their arm, including the child’s name, the parents’ names, and a contact phone number.
  2. Morning Activities
    Children can explore a variety of age-appropriate activities such as creative workshops, physical activity, enclosed outdoor playground at Tivoli Hotel, drawing, crafts, reading aloud, singing, board game and toys. We encourage curiosity, creativity, and social interaction in a safe and supportive environment.
  3. Lunch
    Children enjoy lunch together in a calm and pleasant setting. Snacks during the day will also be provided.
  4. Nap Time / Quiet Time
    For children who need rest, we provide a quiet and comfortable nap time.
  5. Afternoon Activities
    In the afternoon, we continue with creative and engaging activities adapted to the children’s ages and interests, including seasonal crafts, physical activities, games, and group activities.
  6. Pick-Up Time
    Parents collect their children at the agreed time. We are happy to share highlights from your child’s day.

Location

The childcare area is location on the second floor at the hotel side on the conference venue. 

A separate room is booked for SMBE childcare service only.

Right next to the room is the Rasmus Klump playroom. The playroom is decorated with the best colors and characters we know from the Rasmus Klump universe: Meet Rasmus, Pingo, Skæg, and Pelle as you try to throw balls through the ball wall, jump on the fun palm island the friends meet on their way – or bake the best Rasmus Klump pancakes in the fine play kitchen.
